Security Blue Team, now rebranded as Centri, offers practical defensive cybersecurity training focused on blue team operations, including incident response, threat hunting, and SOC skills. Koenig currently does not deliver Security Blue Team/Centri courses, as there are no active authorizations or course offerings for this vendor in Koenig's portfolio.
Koenig currently does not offer training for any Security Blue Team (Centri) certifications, including BTL1, BTL2, CJDE, or CSOM. Learners seeking these credentials must pursue them through Centri-authorized partners or direct enrollment via the Centri platform.
Security Blue Team training is designed for entry-level to mid-career professionals, with BTL1 suited for those with 0–2 years of experience and BTL2 for individuals with 2+ years in security operations. Roles include SOC analysts, incident responders, threat hunters, and detection engineers seeking hands-on defensive cybersecurity skills.
There are no formal entry requirements for BTL1 or BTL2 exams, but Centri recommends completing all labs to prepare for the practical assessments. BTL1 targets junior defenders, while BTL2 assumes prior exposure to security operations, malware analysis, and SIEM tools, making foundational knowledge essential for success.
Security Blue Team exams are practical, hands-on assessments: BTL1 includes a 24-hour incident response exam, while BTL2 requires a 72-hour practical evaluation and written report. The passing score is 70%, with 90%+ on the first attempt earning a gold challenge coin. The exam voucher is included in the course fee with two attempts.
Koenig does not currently offer Security Blue Team training in any format. Centri's BTL1 takes approximately 30–50 hours with 4 months of on-demand access, and BTL2 requires 50–70 hours with 5 months of access. Centri delivers training via on-demand eLearning, with instructor-led options available through other authorized partners.
Koenig does not currently provide Security Blue Team training, so there is no pricing available through Koenig. Directly through Centri, BTL1 costs £399 GBP and includes 4 months of access, 100 lab hours, and two exam attempts, while BTL2 is priced at £1,999 GBP with 5 months of access and 120 lab hours.
The exam fee for Security Blue Team certifications is included in the course price—£399 for BTL1 and £1,999 for BTL2—and is not sold separately. Each purchase includes two exam attempts, with additional retakes available for purchase if needed.
