Multi-Body Dynamics training is designed for mechanical engineers, design engineers, simulation analysts, and R&D professionals with 1–5 years of experience in mechanical systems. It serves early-career to mid-level engineers working in automotive, aerospace, robotics, or industrial machinery who aim to enhance their simulation and system dynamics analysis skills.
Learners should have a fundamental understanding of mechanics, dynamics, and the finite element method (FEM). Prior experience with CAD software and basic knowledge of simulation tools such as ANSYS or MSC Adams is recommended. No prior MBD experience is required for introductory courses.
The training prepares learners for the ANSYS Innovation Certification in Multibody Dynamics, which validates proficiency in simulating interconnected mechanical systems. The exam covers kinematic analysis, equations of motion for rigid and flexible bodies, constraint formulation, contact mechanics, and numerical integration methods using ANSYS Motion and Workbench tools.
The ANSYS MBD certification exam consists of one theory-based test and four simulation-based tests, with a total passing score requirement of 75%. The theory quiz lasts 60 minutes, and each simulation quiz is 15 minutes. Learners have two attempts within 30 days of enrollment to pass, and the certification does not expire.
MBD training at Koenig ranges from 2 to 40 hours, depending on the course level and delivery mode. Formats include live online instructor-led sessions, 1-on-1 training, classroom training at global destinations, Flexi self-paced learning, and Fly-Me-a-Trainer for on-site batches.
